I'm assuming the Rebel XT is the same as a 350D/400D!?
It doesn't have a shooting mode for it you need an IR filter.

Yeah, the letters are North American, the numbers are everyone else. I have no idea why.

That's what I said, but maybe not too clearly;) : letters XT and XTi are North American, numbers 300, 350D and 400D are everyone else.

Actually it gets more complicated than that.

Rebel=300=Kiss Digital
Rebel XT=350D=Kiss Digital N
Rebel XTi=400D=Kiss Digital X

Yup I agree!
Actually I find that "Rebel/XT/XTI" sounds nicer than "Kiss Digital/X/N" or "300D/350D/400D". Ah well. Guess it's just a matter of preference. And where you live...

xhan, you mentioned an ir filter, and i've been searching the net for one, and can't find one. can you or anyone point me to a store that sells one for an xti/400d? thanks

This posting recommends the Hoya R72 for the XT, which has a close relative sensor to the XTi...
