A lot of architects share the passion for good photography, as it is one of the ways to relay our ideas and show the expression our buildings provide. Does anyone have any good techniques for photographing buildings? I take pics of buildings ranging in size from shacks in the woods to skyscrapers. I have a Canon Rebel XT with the 18-55mm kit lens.

I actually found 2 tutorials on photo.net to have some really good tips on photographing architecture. The first is on photographing exterior architecture (http://photo.net/learn/architectural/exterior), the second is on photographing interior architecture (http://photo.net/learn/architectural/interior). These gave me a new look at ways to photograph things to give them more context, and just new ways to look at things. Even if these aren't the sort of tips you're looking for, I found them to be quite enjoyable reading :)

You might find buying a wideangle lens quite useful, as sometimes (especially in the city) it's hard to get far enough back from the buildings to get them all in.
