I like it, it makes the focus flower stand out and also adds more (although muted) colour variety. Nice job:)

i think surrounding flowers are too much desaturated. blur should be enough .)

I think the concept is good but a touch overdone. I would probably have desaturated all the flowers a bit rather than leaving the subject one untouched - otherwise it looks very artificial.

I wonder it it would also help to make the blurred cluster of flowers in the background more orange than red? At the moment, they are a little distracting.

I also wanted to share this cropped version, which shows some neat detail in the petals. Never noticed those little spikes before :)

That is improved. I like the cropped version even more, although I might want to tone down the orange a bit - it is so vivid that the details are not as clear as they might be. With similar shots, I have done that by turning down the saturation a touch; it tends to make the shot more striking rather than less, eg.

I think I do too. In fact I turned it into a mother's day card :)
