I have a Nikon D50 and need some help about the focus. For exemple, I took a picture of a duck using the zoom to get the face only. The duck was clear, but all around is blur.
What AF mode should I use to see everything clear?
Thanks

Hi jg :)
This is actually not a matter of a focus mode. It's actually a matter of using a smaller aperture (http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/aperture/) (larger f/number). You might want to read up on aperture to see how it effects your photos. There's also some info on using Aperture priority mode (http://digital-photography-school.com/blog/aperture-and-shutter-priority-modes/) (A) on your camera. So, if you use an aperture setting of say f/6-f/8, you'll get a lot more of your picture "in focus" instead of blurry. Hope that helps :)

Thanks a lot Nicole! And thank you for the link!
Often having a clear subject and blurry background is seen as a very desirable effect. The amount of the picture that is sharp is called the Depth of Field (DoF); I recently found a website that provides a good DoF calculator (http://www.dofmaster.com/dofjs.html).
