I agree...WOW! Beautiful color and lighting.

You asked for critique :D , so here's what I can come up with despite the fact that this shot is really awesome:
-Not sure if this is really a critique, but I notice that all the buildings seem to be leaning slightly towards the middle...is this slight distortion due to a ultra-wide lens? More of an observation I guess.
-The stars in the sky could be misinterpreted as dust on your sensor since there are so few. You might want to see what others think about that before you take it to heart.

The more I look at it (more correctly gaze at it), the more I love it! Thanks so much for sharing!

lovely shot!.. The only thing that half sortof bothered me was those stars... That said, I don't think it's a problem... it was maybe my tired eyes :)

Great shot -

"Perfect world improvement" (radiant vista saying, lol) - Like other's said, minor distortion with the buildings, but nothing to worry about.

I would clone out a few of the wayward stars close to the clouds - they do look a bit more like dust than stars.

I would also slightly bump the color in the clouds to a bit more of a magenta or red cast - i think it would add contrast and play off the other metallic colors nicely, as it almost duplicates the color in the main structure and buildings currently.

The highlights look a hair too light on my screen - maybe a bit of burning or drop the exposure a touch as well to retain a tad more detail.

Overall though, this is really awesome - great twilight shot of a really cool feature.

You ended up with a great shot. Did you have to do much in Photoshop?

Thank you all for the comments...

The leaning buildings is bacause I took it at 18MM. For those that are interested:

f/5 30sec ISO 100 18-55@18

I did not use photoshop at all, and i don not think I will...but, please be free to use your creatism to ajust my shot and show me if you can improve it...

Anyway...I just love it right now....

Thanks agian for all the commments, but i have some questions...

- Is there a technique/filter or what so ever to get rid of the leaning effect due to the 18 MM lens?
- I personally do not like the water that much, the 30sec shutter has flatten it out so it looks like a lot of conctreet...does anybody know a trick to get this improved when it is impossible to use a flash and the shotter must be open a long time to get enough lights...

Thanks in advance!

Sven

If you've got Photoshop CS2, try Filter -> Distort -> Lens Correction.

If you don't, then you might want to try out PTLens (http://epaperpress.com/ptlens/) or LensFix (http://www.kekus.com/software/plugin.html).

It looks to me like an illustration from a manga comic, with some photographic elements added in - that bridge in particular. I presume that must be the 30s exposure flattening out small reflections of ripples and passing lights. Do you see what I mean?

I know, and altough I like the affect on one site, I also dislike it. The thing is, that i need an exposure of at least 15 sec to get this much light. And even than it looks "fake". So i used 30sec, with in mind, if it is fake anyway, then do it as fake as possible.

I dont think there is any solution to loose the "fake" effect but still get enough light...is there?

Even if you do have Photoshop then try out PTLens. It is much better than Lens Correction in Photoshop and if it knows your lens it will correct the image almost automatically.

I just looked at the original photo and this 'comic' effect is there not as visible as in smaller pics, but I agree with wulf. It almost looks like a rendering. But overall a great shot.
