I prefer the first one's colours because the dress no longer looks white in the after version. Just personal preference. Aside from that I like how the after version turns out. It emphasizes the people instead of being slightly distracted by the background. Glad you enjoyed your phototaking and editing :)

I like how the second one eliminates some of the background distractions (the window and the chain link fence, for instance). Obviously, if you know to look for them you can still find them in the second one, but they are not so distracting.

i prefer the second one as it really captures the *emotion* of the moment as opposed to the details.

I LOVE the timeless, touching quality of the 2nd photo. I know it's a bit late to reply, but the photo is wonderful!

I like elements of both photos.

The soft, blurred background of the 2nd is great to mask the somewhat drab scenery. The sepia tones and minor desaturation do a lot to add a dreamy feel to the photo, but also add a bit to much of a jaundiced look to the bride. The guassian overlay over the bride and father(?) i think is a little strong, covering the details especially in the father's suit and tie and the bride's shoulder a bit too much for me. Maybe soften it a touch by reducing opacity or only apply to the background.

Sorry if this is too much critique - if it is for this board, i'll edit it out.

Choosing between the two shots - I would pick the 2nd.

I like the second one but the way his shoulder kind of fades into the darkness is a bit distracting to me. But I like the look of it! :D
