I recently bought the Canon EF-S 10-22. These are some first shots. I must admit that I am not to happy with them. Lets hope it is just a matter of getting used too..

it appears to be just a combination of rather boring subject matter and poor lighting that makes these shots quite dull. Try shooting on overcast days or around sunrise and sunset for better light. Definitely doesnt look like a problem with the lens.

Triglav,
When you shot these, what did you hope would be different? How would a lens change these scenes, if it did what you wanted?

Thanks for the honest critisism. When you walk around there the space is overwhelming. I tried to capture that, but an overcast day or maybe early morning are very good advice!

Not sure. Very good question. I hoped that the image would be more sharp. I must admit, I don't know. It is probably what ZirconiumZephyr said why I don't like the images too much.
Thanks both for being honest!

Triglav,
I think you have a lot of potential in all of these shots. There's good composition but to me it looks like maybe the lighting is off. I wouldn't give up on the lens or the pictures just yet. Try playing around in post processing. You have some good work out there and these can work for you too.
