Ahh I really don't know if I am wanting to buy this but it is really tempting me.

The only thing I am wondering about is if there is a difference between A200 and the A200K. I assume that the K is for the Lens Kit. as the model is DSLRA200K.

What does anyone think about this? $150 is a solid deal off it, but I am also going to wait till I see the deal that Black's has on Monday (they are doing a discount on all cameras.)

so looking at resellerratings for future shop I would be careful about buying from there. Seems like a lot of people had bad experiences with them.

Seems that all the places are going to this price now. I just visited Henry's and Black's websites which state they have the camera on for $499.99 as well.

Buy from Henrys. They will match future shop on price, and you are dealing with a real camera store, so they know more about cameras.

I bought an A300 from Henrys and they really gave me a great price break.

If you want the flip-out screen, or the anti-shake feature, may I recommend you consider stepping up to the A300 instead of the A200? If you don't want those features, then the A200 is a LOT of camera for the money so it's a great deal.

I don't know what people are complaining about with the Sony Lenses. I think they're fantastic. (Then again, snobs can see differences nobody else can see.)

The 'k' is for kit as you thought. I purchased mine from ShopSunshine.com and have had it for a week. It is an awesome camera for beginning DSLR!

The kit has:

Sony Alpha DSLR-A200
Sony DT 18-70mm f/3.5-5.6 Zoom Lens (w/covers)
Sony NP-FM500H Battery
Sony AC-VQ900AM Battery Charger
Video Cable
USB Cable
Neck Strap
Front and rear lens caps
Lens Hood
Body Cap
Software CD-ROMs (PC & Mac)
Manual

Hope that helps.

The A200 looks like a pretty great value camera. I spent the afternoon shooting with a friend a few days ago, and had a play with his. Very good fun, and the price is incredible.

In a direct comparison, I'd prefer the Nikon D60, but then again, it's a little more expensive too.

I'm a little biased though, as I've owned and enjoyed a couple of Nikons, and have a bag full of Nikon lenses. If I didn't have any gear and was looking for a first DSLR this would be very hard to beat.

The A200 & 18-70 + 75-300 kit looks like incredible value.

I have the Sony A300 and am luvn every second I also got it for the tilt screen cuz it allows me to get more uncomon angles. If u dont care about the Live Vu or the flip out screen then the a200 is your camera. I realy like Sony quality.
