I like fields of tulips too :) I have a few pictures of them that I took at the botanic gardens in Wellington. Love the colour of your ones though. They only seem to plant large numbers of red tulips here.

Okay, since you asked for it. This was taken in Keukenhof back in 1991 with a 35mm film camera. I know it's not great (and I'm not even sure they're tulips) but, hey, you brought it up

Ok, so I'll probably be the first person to run out of tulip shots (I'll start scouring my photo library though...), but here's another one, again from the botanic gardens during their tulip festival.

Living in Ottawa - the tulips are phenomenal! The pregnant Queen of Holland had to be evacuated from Holland during World War II for her own safety, so the family came to Ottawa, Canada. The government designated a floor of a hospital here temporarily part of Holland, and her daughter (now the Queen) was born here.
To thank the Canadians for their hospitality they sent some amazing number of tulip bulbs. And forever the National Capital Commission has been planting, separating, replanting those bulbs (and adding to them) every spring. In May the Tulip Festival draws visitors from all over the earth.
These few are just from our own garden (the garden of my Dutch husband!)

I stopped by the local botanical garden to practice some before tomorrow's trip. Didn't turn out too bad for handheld I thought. Does that large reflection/flare in the top middle detract from the photo?

Maybe I can post some of the shots from the Tulip Festival, if we get there this year! It is SO busy with tourists the locals don't have the space to see it, except driving all over the city in their car. It is kind of like the shot taken by mikem12188, but multiplied by a billion!

Thanks Mike! I do appreciate it. I've been in a photo phunk for awhile and it's nice to be able to put all the pieces together and get some decent shots finally. Sometimes I do overthink things though. :-)
I have to give my GF some credit for the fence shot. I was focused on getting closeups and she commented about how she liked the fence and she was shooting it so I thought I'd try it too. It's amazing how a good shot can be right in front of you but if you're too focused you'll miss it.
Oh, and out of all the pricey camera gear and accessories, the most useful piece of equipment I had with me was a ten dollar knee pad. :-)
