I'm not sure if this is where this should go. But I absolutly love this picture of my daughter. She's so into posing and this just captures her personality entirely.
I am wanting to see what someone can do with this as far as bringing out the colors more or what not.
Please let me know if there is a specific area this needs to go in. Thanks.

Dust_On_My_Angel_Wings,
Depending on what you want, it could be Critiqued, Share your shot, Portrait assignment, even Before/After when changes are made.
Only the colors? No cropping or blurring of background? Sharpening? Not that it needs those things, but if it does?

I am not the person you want to go to for post processing help  :o , but I did a very minor fix that may or may not be better. I just used Picasa to sharpen and warmify. I'm sure someone here can do better!:)

I noticed you got some catchlight in her eyes. That is the little light you see and is something you want to give life to the eyes.

Anything actually. blurring of background would be nice. That is something I have yet to learn! I'm off to the bookstore soon to get me a Dummies book!

This area is perfectly fine :) You're trying to improve a picture of a person, so no reason it wouldn't go here.
Also, a belated Welcome from me :D

Looks great! How do I go about getting rid of the date in the picture? I tried blurring it out, erasing, yeahh...no luck.

D_O_M_A_W,
Okey-dokey.
Saralonde,
Sometimes that's all it needs.
