Hi people,

I'm new to this site, I have been reading it over the last few days, and seems like a very good place for me to learn more about photography. I have only recently picked up a camera and started getting into photography as a hobby, I purchased a Pentax K100 Digital SLR, and am loving it all so far!

Here is a shot I went out and did last night of the sunset over Hallett Cove Conservation Park.

Looking forward to learning from you guys! :)

Welcome Matt :D

I like this shot. Good composition, great sky and clouds with good colour. If there was anything to suggest, maybe something of interest in the foreground more than just the grass, but to me, the simplicity of it and the fence is nice, so I wouldn't really change it.

Hope to hear more from you in these forums :) Welcome again.

castle, Welcome

This one is sunset gold; the clouds nearly mirror the fence. If you can go again, if you shoot way down low so that fence looks like a ski jump and sun is just about to lift off?

Thankyou for the welcomes, and thanks for the replies.

The camera was on a tripod on its lowest setting, so I was already down quite low, but I see what you mean about the positioning of the fence in the foreground. Something to think about for the next time I go out and shoot, thanks.

I am glad that you guys like the photo, I'm looking forward to getting out and trying some more shots, which I will post up also.

Bye,

Matt
