View Full Version : Question regarding Macro mode
Just a quick question here regarding macro mode on my Olypus 535 Zoom point and shoot digital camera. What I would like to know is,... Is Macro mode independant or "aswell as " other shooting modes, IE is macro while in portrait mode, the same as say macro while in landscape. Or is macro always the same regardless what other "mode" is currently selected.
Sorry I hope you understand

I'm not sure about your particular camera, for my Canon s230 it is merely a change of focal point so it goes as well as the other mode that I'm in. Otherwise I think it's a matter of checking your manual. Hope that helps.

most point and shoot cameras.. macro is independent of any other mode.. all it is.. it lets you move your camera into a closer position.. so say .. in any other mode.. you can get as close as 1 meter to the subject,,, in macro mode you can get as close as 2cm.. these measurements are what my minolta Z5 can do your camera may have different distances :)
i hope this answers your question???
