I downloaded the trial version of Lightroom and I have a question. I have some shots that I took in raw and when I edited them in Picasa (what I have used up to this point) they turned out great in black and white. However, when I try to make the conversion to black and white in Lightroom the image looks very poor not only in color but very grainy until I export it out of lightroom then it looks ok but not as good as in Picasa. So my question is this, is there some setting that I have to enable for Lightroom to render a true representation of the photo before it is exported? I understand that I have much more flexability with Lightroom but if I'm not getting an accurate representation of my edits until they are exported the added functionality is rather handicaped.
