Nice shot!! I would lighten up the picture and try to sharpen the picture/increase contrast. Impressive Job!!! Nice pose in the air too!! :)

Looks like a standard 180° kickflip. Next time I would watch him a few times to lean his style before even thinking about anything else. If you watch closely enough, you'll learn exactly where to be and when to trip the shutter.
Nighttime skating shots are some of the harder shots to get - you did very well on that front. The only thing I would suggest is stronger lighting, and less reflective material in the background. The good thing is a skater generally won't mind doing the same thing over and over again to give you more attempts at capturing them.
Another thing to try is to get in their way if you trust them. If you know you can lay on the floor and they can clear you and your camera, go for it. Some of my best work from back when I skated was done in the line of fire. My friend used to be able to clear a garbage can easily, so laying on the ground in his way was not a problem - it was an excellent way to catch some nice low PoV grinding shots. You really need to trust the person though - if you're not sure they can not hit you, it'd be a very scary feeling, as being hit would hurt. Alot. Especially if you're on the ground.
Fisheye lenses also make things look really spiffy.

I think it's a nice shot, even though it's from the back. It looks better lightened up, but could have maybe benefited from an off-camera flash on the ground or somewhere else (I have less experience with flashes).

Yeah the built in flash wont really do in moments like this you better of with a SB 600 or something, or SB 24 or something. And i dont like that post processing you did there is just too much contrast! i tried some PP on this shot tho i didnt have the origal so the noise whent a bit crazy when i was working with it doing some minor adjustments, what i wanted to do was to brighten up the subject a bit more then he already is, and thus makign him "pop" out of the image...
what do u think
