What do you think? Too blurry? Not blurry enough? Too pale in colour? Anything?

Do you have some EXIF data you could add?

As for the blurry, I think the amount is fine, but the placement is a bit off. The sharpest part is in the middle, focused on the orange shorts. My eyes want to see the face of the leader, but they're being led away.

I think the colors are good, but a little more contrast might help. It looks like it was overcast perhaps, and could use just a slight "pop." I like the way the colors from the jerseys show up against the green background, and I think the blur of the background is very nice.

I agree - I am initially led to focus on the guy in first, but because the focus is on the guy in (third or fourth) - the one in the middle - it kind of throws me off. Really nice capture though - if the focus were a little more to the right it would be perfect! Keep at it!

it's a cool shot. Just a pity that not one person is really sharp on the pic. What did you focus on.

yeah it is a real shame that the focus is on the guys orange shorts. would have been a stunning shot if you got the leaders face in focus. well better luck next time.

Yeah, I'm still working on the panning thing. For stock photography, this is fine because I can't present an identifyable face without a signed release. However, yes, it would have been much better if I had one unblurred face.
No wonder, it doesn't do well in contests.

Back to the drawing board.

it's pretty hard to fix motion blur like this, but excellent capture nonetheless. were you on a moving vehicle while capturing this? anywho, i did some pp'ing and came up with this... it's not much, but there's a slight difference, methinks...

Can you tell more about how the pic was taken?

I like the blurry. I can feel the motion of it when I look at it

dead right.
there should be a focal point of meaning.

BUT,,, its hard to hit a moving target.. especially if they are coming towards you.

good try though
