My first time here, be honest. First attempt to make a photo different. I called it "The boat house"

Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 800
Exposure Bias: 0/6 EV

Does it look right at a glance?
Heres the original.

Upside down, rotated plus the bench has gone. Manipulated with PSP8.

Not too sure what it is supposed to look like but to me it looks like you rotated the scene upside down. Kinda disorienting but other than that pretty bland. your colors are bland sky is blown out scene not very interesting. please post exif data for mre technical critique.

Here it is for him...

Camera: Nikon D40
Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 800

Don't forget to meter for the sky to avoid blown highlights. On my D40, I have the AE-L/AF-L set on exposure and I lock it that way. Just point, hold down that button, and frame your composition.

hmm, it is a nice photo. But I don't like your composition. This is because I can see there is something behind the tree on the left but I can't really see what it is...

Thanks for all you thoughts. This is certainly a great idea and gives me things to think about.

I think it's an interesting pic, at first I looked to me as if it were a reflection, the green area on the right looks like a hill and the river like a blish sky but at the moment I looked at the left side I saw a trree trunk on top and then I realized you had turned it upside-down, hahaha:D
Happy shooting!:)
