Hi There,
I've had a Nikon D50 for a little while now. When I'm using any setting other than auto, the focus point is set to the left hand side, meaning I have to move the camera to the right, focus and then back to the left again. Ordinarily not a problem unless you're trying to compose a shot of a child who is likely to move any second. You have to move the camera considerably to the left before it will focus on your subject. It also means you can't have it searching continually (if the subject moves slightly) because then you just end up with a lovely clear picture of the wall behind the child. It drives me bazonkers. I've tried all the settings in the camera and can't find anything that will let me select the area of the screen that focuses. I have a friend who has a D70 and hers is stuck at the top and she can't figure out how to change it either.
Any ideas?
