I deleted the original from Flickr, why? I'm not sure. But the next shot I took had the same settings.
Canon EOS Digital Rebel
0.006 sec
f/9
55 mm - 400 ISO

In Picnick I boosted the colors and added cross processing. At my flickr I have several other edits. At this point it is less a photo and more something else. What could I have done to make this better?

Would have been better is it was not framed right in the center. And it looks like you have some dust spots unless that was from the post processing.

I agree - a few of the other edits I did moved the lines to one side. I am not sure about the dust spots - the lens and lens filter appear clean.

Actually, I rather like the composition. I suppose that, after a while, you can become fatigued through too many shots carefully following the rule of thirds! :)

I think cleaning the dust away would improve it - or disguise it by also overlaying a strong texture (I don't think you can do that with Picnik - I stand to be corrected though).

This is going to sound strange - but there were many gnats out that evening. Could that have anything to do with it? probably a stretch, i am sure it is time for a good cleaning.
