I am so new to photoshop that I'll probably have to google any feedback you are willing to provide, but I'd appreciate any comments/critiques you are willing to give.

I can't figure out how to post the exif data - sorry. The original image is in the set in my flickr account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mistypictures/

Unfortunately I don't even know enough to know what questions to ask - but wondering if you are distracted by the HDR + Lomo effect...?

The orginal images color and the whole scene in general lacks color. I think perhaps going with black and white may have been a better choice here. I would have also increased the radius of the HDR lighting to help get rid of the halo around the buildings. It looks like the sky was very overcast when processing with HDR I have never had much luck getting what I consider a nice image on an over cast day with reguards to landscapes and buildings. Everything is pretty evenly lit except the sky is several stops brighter. The lack of shadows during overcast days also reducdes the feeling of depth in an image which you usually want when shooting buildings or landscapes because you want some shadows in there. I would have probably waited for a sunset, sunrise or a day with a few clouds in the sky but not overcast. I like the lomo effect but I think you could darken the edges some more because right now it just seems like a yellow photo filter was placed over the image and reds where turned a little more orangish.

I can see you have a bit of some solar flare going on in the original. Your postprocessing eliminated most of the flare in the upper left corner of the image but the red light at the bottom right is rather distracting. I would Photoshop that out. As for the HDR itself, I would increase the smoothing radius to eliminate the glow around the barn. I really like what you did with the texture and color of the barn, I just don't quite dig the yellowish-green tint of the sky. You could probably stand to desaturate it a bit which would correct the sky coloration without sacrificing too much on the barn itself.
