I love my Canon, but I can't figure out how to download directly into Photoshop or Bridge in stead of using iPhoto (I'm using a Mac OS X 10.4.8). It doesn't recognise the memory card (SanDisk) as a drive and I needed to install the Canon software to download anything at all.
I would be thrilled if anyone has a solution for me, because I'm ending up with copies of everything on my Mac because I edit in Photoshop CS2.
Ok, here's how to turn off iPhoto as the default application to appear when you insert a memory card or digital camera.
Navigate to your Applications folder, find Image Capture and open it.
Go to the Image Capture preferences by pressing Apple + ,
From the window that opens, you can now choose another application or select No Application.
I'm in a similar situation, with regards to editing, although for RAW images I use Canon's Digital Photo Professional.
What I do is create a new folder in my hard drive and then drag all of my new images into that folder.
It's not the best for efficiency and I'm sure there are easier ways to do it, but I don't think my PowerBook will run Aperture that successfully!

Hi David
Tx for your quick reply... I did not know about Image Capture... This is exactly what I needed since I just want to be able to archive my images after retouching :-)
