I have worked with Photoshop Elements 2.0 for quite a while for editing my photos. I also use iPhoto for organizing my albums. Is there anything that would replace both of them in one software package? Is Photoshop Elements 5.0 also good for organizing albums? Suggestions please????
I just bought a Nikon D80 (sooooooooooo happy) but don't like the software that comes with it.

What about a new version of Elements (e.g. 4.0 mac / 5.0 PC?)? Not sure if that actually fits what you need, but it does sound like it at least uses key words to let you search. Not 100% sure if it lets you say, create smart albums. But maybe something to look into without spending a mint.

Try downloading Google's Picasa. It's free, good for simple editing, will work with RAW, and lets you organize your images into albums. You may want something that does more later, but it's free, very easy to use and quite good in the meantime.

Errr... there's no OSX native version of Picasa (yet, we hope), so you'll have to have an Intel Mac and something like Parallels to run Picasa. But all reports are that it works pretty well.

I use photo shop elements 5.0 to organize, it is amazing I put over 5000 photos in there and can find the 1 (there's always 1) that I am looking for in seconds!

Give one more vote for Picasa.
It allows for some basic editing, nice photo organizing and it runs well on linux, so that's great...! :D

I went back to Adobe Bridge lol. I was'nt quite fealing iView.
I also vote Picasa. I would use it myself but then I would feal like I would be wasting my purchased version of Adobe.
