The focus looks a little soft.
I like the crop, but in all honesty though, the whole black-and-white-except-for-the-eyes thing is really starting to get played out.

To me anyways...

As a family man, I like the motive. Portraits and the like is all about eyes. The crop is excellent; the diagonal curve between the faces works well.

It is a shame the exposure is too long. Taking hand held pictures with the D80 and the 18-135 lens at 135mm is dangerous at 1/60 and below. I prefer to keep exposure at at least 1/100 at all times. It doesn't make a big difference on a B/W picture like this though.

I must also tell you that I keep my ISO setting at 100, and that I bought a flash to keep it there.

This image could have been even better if someone else takes the picture with MANUAL focus, focusing somewhere around the eye of the kid.
