I'm mostly thinking about composition here, does having the main element off-center work? On a secondary note, the reds in the tongue are clipping, which I think has a little to do with sRGB, is it distracting? I turned vibrance to -1 and saturation to +10 in Lightroom, I could go in a bump down the luminance and saturation in the red channel, but I don't want to lose the "pop."

I think the off center composition works fine. It's just a little hard to tell the kite from the wall behind it. Also, the shadow falling on the right third of the image takes away from your subject as well. I didn't notice any problems with the red in the tongue until I read your post.

Having the main element off center works well, and I cannot see any clipped reds at this size. I agree with netbymatt that the large shadow on the right is a bit distracting, but overall the composition and colors are very nice.
