I took this picture in my last trip.When I saw the guy being followed by those two birds and the sun reflecting in the water I though that would make a nice shot.

What do you think about the composition and the light? How could I improve that shot?

it is pretty blown out and the netting/rocks in the bottom right/center is distracting. If you were trying to focus on the fisherman then they shot is kinda off cause the birds really dont add to the shot instead it draws the eye away from him casting. Generally you want the subject to be looking into the frame not out of it. It would have been better if you got closer to the guy to avoid the rocks/netting and framed it so that he was in the left side of the frame and casting to the right.

Thanks for the input. I'll keep the subject in mind next time!
And you're right about that net over the rocks... they are really out of place there.
Btw, the picture was taken in Cancun... guess you know the place ;-)

yeah I been there once or twice ;) I try to stay away from there whenever possible it is too crazy there for me, Cozumel is much nicer.
