I took this photo at the Zoo of a Crockadile laying out in the sun.

Iso: 200. f/3.5. 72mm.

Comments appreciated. I was shooting on a nice spring like day outside at a crock that was about 30 (?) feet away.

jimmy....

although, i really appreciate your enthusiasm, there are rules here concerning the posting of new threads for critique.....only one thread per day in the critique section, we ask that you include your image of no larger than 600ppi on either side, and that you include some background information.....ie. what kind of conditions you were shooting in, what you had hoped to achieve, and lastly what you think you would like help with.,...

for these reasons, i am putting your second thread on hold for a day......which i will release tomorrow.....

also, please keep in mind, that posting your pictute with a link back to your hosting site will go a long way to getting the members to give feedback.....

my thanks to you and good luck with your critique....

sorry about holding up your other thread....it's a new day now, and i have released it for critique......:)

i see that there aren't any comments since yesterday, so i found this link for you to read at your leisure on how to post your image here from picasa....

http://digital-photography-school.com/forum/faq.php?faq=img#faq_picasaweb

most of our members tend to skim past threads that don't have an image readily available for them so see and i think this is the chief reason this image has been passed by.....please consider reading the above link and editing your posts so that the images show here.....

good luck to you....

The cros head has some parts that are blown out. The over all picture is pretty bright so you could have gone and under exposed it a little more to avoid the blown out areas. other than that there is not much you can do the composition is pretty good. Pay attention to your foreground and backgrounds there is a lot of branches and what not in the picture. Not that you can really do much from the looks of the shot. It is not like you want to move those branches out of the way to get the shot. Taking a couple steps to the left might have gotten the foreground branches out of the way and put the head on a less cluttered background however.
