Well..in Dutch it is Zwanenwater. It a wet area in the dunes in the north of the Netherlands. Pretty nice place, after lots of rain some paths will flood. Lots of different birds. Despite all the water I chose to post this image. I like the open space and you can see from which corner the wind blows the most. The complete series including water is here: More Zwanenwater (http://www.photoblog.com/user/remco)

Triglav,
Of the six photos on blog, this is slightly less interesting than others, especially last one w/sun reflection. The windblown trees are arresting images also. How did you decide which to post? Especially given the title?

Good question. Makes me think about my photography. Thanks for that.
I figured the reflection in the water is too harsh. Adding to that my love for trees (dead or alive), I found this one the most interesting one. The one with the trees alongside the road is nice too, but I only wish I had not included the road. I dislike asphalt. Mmmmm..looking at them for the 7.154th time, the one with the reflection ain't that bad..And about the title..it is just the name of that area.
I am not sure what "arresting images" mean:confused:

Thanks for looking!

Triglav,
Arresting as in making one stop and look, and look again. Seeing the title, I was hoping for a #6, which is just more compositionally interesting to me. As a group they work well together.
