Back after a while away! This is a photo go my parents Inn in Bay Bulls, Newfoundland, my first time using my polarizing filter, what do ya think of it all?
You got great colours.
The photo has a slight air of unreality about it, which I think is produced by the contrast between the very sharp inn, and what looks like a slightly blurred background (grass and trees). Did you do a bit of Orton or focus blur on the background?

I love the composition and the rich colours that the polariser has brought out. However, as ELAY mentioned, I do feel that the soft edges give an unreal feel about it and makes me think I have got blurred vision!! :D

Wow, the polarizer did wonders for the colors in this shot.

i so love the color saturation in this image.....
and yes, i agree that the choice of depth of field leaves the viewer with a sense of "unreality".....but, hey, to my eye, it works so very well....
thanks for posting

Looks like Orton to me too, EL.
Sid -- Nice work. It's a colorful and catching image, and I'll bet your parents could get some great advertizing out of it (or just frame it in the Inn).
My only critique is that the transition between the sharp Inn and the soft background is a little too abrupt. I would either soften the Inn some more, back off the soft focus in the background, or feather the edge quite a bit. Of course it's only visible on the big one on Flickr, but if you were to have it framed I'm sure it would be at least that big, right? :)
