So I was driving by the lake and saw a few ducks. Walked out on the dock and jumped to get them to move. Only had an instant to grab a few shots, thought this was the best one - more at my flickr site. Do you think I should have tried to gets trees across the lake in the shot or is it good the way it is:

For me, that shot is good the way it is (a bit more closer would have been better - I could never "chase" them for a shot :P ). More often than not, I believe, other elements on photographs is distracting the viewer away from the main subject(s).

i agree, kirb.......i like the image with just water and birds....

i don't know if yiou cropped or not, but great placement of the ducks...
