I was checking out davehillphoto.com (http://davehillphoto.com). I was fascinated on how he achieved this look. Is it all post processing? How did he get the images to be so crisp? It looks very animated so surreal.

A combination of HDR and Dodge and Burn tools in Photoshop will produce this .. also.. possible to get it using LucisArt Plugin for PS.. here is a link with images simlar to this :) http://www.blog.bluehourphoto.com/secretweapon.html and tutorials on how to..

Bringing this topic from the dead...

Well, thats quite simple when you have all that production behind the shot (lots of props, lighting gear and such interesting characters). In other words, not that simple.... BUT, if you have them, you can do this look using the above techniques...

He masterfully uses the LucisArt plugin, of course with some combinations of D&B and HDR...

I found out one can manage doing something similar, using one light set up outdoors, shooting against the sun (using it as a second source of light - intentional sun flare is very cool in this case... dont look it directly through the view finder - mostly if you r using teles - not good for your eyes)

Well, this is my first post, I hope it wont be the last!!

Im glad I joined in!
