He was out for ten minutes and came to the door looking this way. As always I am looking for ways to improve. Do you think a different angle or better lighting would help this photo?

Not sure Leo qualifies as "Wildlife", but he does not seemed thrilled by the snow. Its a nice sharp image, but the stroler in the background is distracting. Also you might want to consider the rule of thirds with your composition, rather than just filling the frame with Leo.

Must have been snowing hard!

Val, It's been awhile since you posted, so you might want to check out our new Critique Forum Rules. (http://digital-photography-school.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10892) Basically you need to include some more information with any shots posted in the new Critique section. If you just want to "Share Your Shot" (http://digital-photography-school.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45) with everyone, I can move it to that section or you can edit this one to include more information.

I think a different angle would have helped this shot a lot. Pictures of pets or animals at their eye level are usually more interesting. For example, with Leo everyone is used to seeing the top of his head and his back because you're usually looking down at him.

If you have a post processing program on your computer, you can take the green out of Leo's pupils. More lovable, less demonic. (LOL)

Thanks for the info, Val. It isn't always needed, but it is really helpful:).

Focal Frenzy is right about the green eye. Humans get red eye, animals get red eye.

As for the angle, sometimes with pets and children, it pays to get down to their level. You'd still get the appearance of snow all over him, plus a better look at his eyes.
