Here is my version of a tiger. Dont know if my colors are as nice as the other tiger here in critique. It is not a crop this is the actual photo with some light post processing to bring out the colors. I took about 300 pics of this guy and liked this and about 5 others the best. Is it a keeper and what can I improve?

The colors truly are nice and the clarity is wonderful, but am not fond fond of the way its face is cropped. Something this majestic, to me anyway, should have a full view of its eyes and nose and mouth.

thisbejonas,

Yes, lovely shot of the cat! Windrider86 nailed the critique; the "keep the chin" rule has been broken.

I like the crop on this shot...shows intensity and is something new! Not the usual tiger shot mouth agape and teeth showing.
I think a bit of eye sharpening would fair well too.
It would be a fun image to play around with......

I don't mind the cropping at all. One of the first things that caught my eye is his black spots on the top of his head. They are blue & when you look at larger sizes on Flickr, you'll notice some more blue fringing. Something that could be fixed in post-processing? I'm definitely not a PP guru. So I'm not sure what causes that, or how to fix it.

I noticed the blue too, seems to be a bit of purple around the ears also.

That's just nit picking thou.

I think its a fantastic shot, I like the out of the norm crop, and the colors will almost rip your eyes out of their sockets.

Most pleasing to view.
