Hey all,
Got my new camera for X-mas, a Fujifilm S9100.
Its really nice, and does what i need and want.
This is virtually the first shot i took on it other than playing around at home.

Shutter speed 1/3000
Aperature f/3.8
Iso 200
Focal Length 25mm

Comments and Critique would be nice.

I've been looking at the S9000, but now I wonder. What did you focus on when framing this shot? It looks either like a crop from a larger file, or as if you had focussed on something other than the bird.

The simplicity of the scene is a good idea, but the bird nearly falls out of the shot. More foreground, less sky, leave some room around subject.

I have to agre with Jiminy about the bird. It's too close to the edge. I also feel there is just too much sky, its too overpowering.
