Hi everyone,

First post in this section. I've tried to capture the dizzyness of the night trafic... (I try to play a lot with the blur lately) I would like to know if the atmosphere I was trying to catch is well retranscript... Or if you see just a blured B&W picture...

Thanks in advance for your comments...

Godfu,

This is wild! I like it! Sometimes we like things and we are not quite sure how to articulate the reason. This is sort of one of those times. First, you did capture a feeling, an emotion about urbanism. Your use of lines with contrasting round, teardrop (headlight) shapes give an interesting appeal. I like the tint.

Creative shot!

there's just enough detail to this image that i know what i am looking at......and i'm dizzy for sure.....so you most definately put that across.....:)

the composition bothers me....if there was more room at the top and less bottom.....but, that might not be possible in the original....

what post work did you do>

thanks

Thanks all, for your comments... Glad you like it...

@Peeperita: unfortunatly, it's the original size. I see what you mean, the space under the 3 cars on the left is a bit too wide... And the top of the picture is a bit squeezed by the border. Now that you've noticed it, I notice it too :)

The PP was done with Lightroom.

First step: I've turned it in b&w (grayscale)
2nd step: I've played with the Histogram (Exposure, Fill light, ...)
3rd step: I've also played with the temp and the tint, but not too much on this picture. I've noticed that it has some influence on the contrast, luminosity,etc.. of the picture. For example, if you want to darken a blue sky in B&W, you change the temp and the tint untill you have a "more blue" sky (it's usually horrible in color) and after it's easier to darken it by the grayscale mix... The same apply for other colors... But you have to be carrefull for the noise... Especially when you shot at 400 ISO with a E-500 ;)
4th step: I've let the curve linear...
5th step: Split toning. For this one I've used a yellow for the highlights (59) in combinaision withe a saturation of 35. For the Shadows, I've used a cold blue (200) and a saturation of 20...
6th step: I've done some "fine tune" and twickled a bit the different tools until I was happy... And that was it...

Hope this helps and it's clear enough (my written English is not "Shakespear":D)... If you have any question, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be glad to answer them the best I could. If you want, I could post you a print screen too...
