Default Beautiful Bird

I'm not quite sure what kind of bird this is, but it sure is beautiful. This was taken in Montreat, North Carolina. I am new to DPS and just wanted some feedback. Thanks!

That's a mandarin, they're in Regents Park in London as well.
The background is a bit distracting here, you could try desaturating it a bit because it's very bright. Also maybe crop out a little bit of the foreground.
I like the composition though and the colouring on the Mandarin is great.

I agree about the background and foreground. I'm astounded at the coloration on this thing. It looks like it's painted!!!! Great job catching that. Something to make the background less noticeable would make it right about perfect.
