Very cute!
Seems that the camera focused on Bandit's nose instead of his eyes? Getting eyes in sharp focus (with pets, people, etc.) is often a great way to make your photos hold the viewer's attention. I have a dog and know that getting good photos isn't easy. But with practice and patience, it does get easier. Keep it up.

What a cutie and so photogenic!!!!!
I know this is the critique section but I wanted to do a quick edit for you to describe what I did (If I overstepped my bounds by editing this picture let me know and I will remove it). Dog noses come in different sizes so play with focusing on different parts of the nose. Depending on your fstop you can usually find a spot between the nose and eyes where they eyes are in focus and nose isn't too blurry and in the case of short noses you might get both in focus. It seems that Bandit blends into the background too much so a quick lightening of the background a select areas of his face (eye, mouth, chin) seemed to correct that some. As an avid pet photographer I find a slight HPS can bring out the details of the fur but be careful by not using too much. I hope this helps!
