Those specular highlights in the eyes look pretty weird. They seem to hold as much attention as the in-focus nose. I find for both people and animal faces, unless the shot is really abstract, that out of focus eyes are rarely as powerful as in-focus ones. I don't see any problem with the composition but that cat is obviously looking intently at something. It leaves me somewhat unsatisfied that I can't see him seeing.

I'm torn. The focus on the nose is so cute I think it should stay, and the bokeh on the eyes is cooll too. But on the other hand, I like it when the eyes are really sharply in focus.
Overall, I think the shot works as it is. Depth of field is good, and the off-camera gaze is captivating. I think you have found an example of when eyes out of focus is a good thing.

Hi guys,
Sorry for not replying sooner, but I have been busy lately and couldn't visit DPS for a few weeks. Thank you so much for your comments, I really appreciate it. I will try to reproduce the picture with the eyes on focus to see the difference and to decide which version I like the most, however I believe the current one works. Any additional comments would be greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!!! Peter.
