Picture of my Cairn Terrier from a while back. She hopped onto the leg of the recliner while I was cleaning my camera. I quickly shot 4-5 images and this is the only one where she showed a profile. My main question is whether this is over sharpened? Any and all comments appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback! Considering the rest of the shots were her shoulder or back as she jumped around and I had the camera in manual mode, I was pretty lucky!

Just agreeing with the earlier comment, your photograph looks sharp but not too sharp from my view. I saw no obvious haloing or remnants of over sharpening. It's a good looking shot of the dog. In a future shoot, you might try stopping down the aperture a bit, getting a little more depth of field so the entire animal is in focus, but I know how it is when you're taking shots with eager animals and maybe less than perfect light.

I think it's a great "sentimental" shot.

I don't think it is too sharp. I quite like the way the focus is on the scruffy hair - I think it adds something to the shot.
