Ok to be perfectly honest i love this shot as is, I really love the lighting and the way you have the bright sunshine illuminating the field and horses but did not blow out the whole sky, It is hard to tell in the image you have on flicker because i cannot pull up the large size image but there may be a greenish cast on the horses that I would try to remove just a tad, add a little more orange tint to them but aside from that its beautiful! Great work

I think this shot is really nice. As far as if the foreground is to dark I think it could be a matter of personal preferences to some extent at this point, I would have to see a second adjusted image to formulate an opinion on that. My main criticism would be I don't care for the horse being cut off by the frame on the right, wish it was all the way in the photo.

I like the composition of this shot and how you've managed shooting into the morning sun. On my laptop, the horse in the foreground is a little underexposed, so I'd perhaps look at lifting the shadows a little.
As Mike said, it would have been nice to see all of the closest horse, but they can be stubborn when it comes to posing ![]() Nice job!

Thanks everyone for your remarks/advice. Take a look at this try with the foreground lightened a tad. Thanks again, enjoy!
BTW, Captain you are right about those horses posing! I wish I could have gotten him all in the frame. I was truly lucky though that he stood around next to me long enough for me to squeeze the couple of shots off that I did get.

I would underexpose some and add a little fill to the foreground horse.
