Hi All,
I'd like to know what you guys think of this shot? This is a crop and I decided to go for a portrait format but now i'm not sure if I should have gone for a landscape crop to improve the composition. Thanks in advance for commenting. more images and info on this bird here. ![]() Camera: Canon EOS 400D Digital Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/200) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 400 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: Off, Did not fire Cheers, Dev

There's nice detail and colour in the bird there Dev but it a little too centred for my own taste. Without knowing what you cropped out, it's difficult to see if a landscape crop would work any better.
Having taken a look at your other wren photos, I think there are better shots on your blog - this one in particular (hope you don't mind me posting it) wren1.jpg

Thanks for the reply Neil. I was thinking along the same lines as you in regards to the bird being too centered. The area I cropped out was pretty much the same as the background and fore ground of the image, just green grass in focus and out of focus. I was thinking abt a landscape crop with the bird on the left of the image?
Thanks again.
