Get his/ hers attention, a straight on head shot is nice but shots where they are looking round doors are nice too. Have something like a packet or some paper to make a noise with, your find the ears will come up and they are really interested in you.

Id also say have more background blurred if possible, what camera do you use?

Oh and welcome to dps

Default Talk to the Animals

Better when they're not sleeping. Around here we just talk to them. Ears up, eyes open, they look at you, much more interesting. I'd probably step left a bit and rotate back right to get less emptiness on the left. Have a couple of animal shots in my recent visit to the stockyards, site below. One horse just wants out and you can tell it without the whole head, she was pretty even in the dark

Welcome to DPS sirbasilio. As you can see, you will learn and learn here. Stay with us. Keep posting and learning and we look forward to seeing much more of your work. Thanks for this shot. I think he looks like me first thing. Just woke up, can't get used to the light and hoping someone will stick my breakfast under my nose! Every picture has a tale. God bless. PAUL

I like the shot as is, it looks like he is reflecting on what he has done or is going to do with his day. Thanks for sharing.
