Default 2nd attempt at dog

Hi. This is my 2nd attempt at getting a good picture of my dog.
Am brand new to this forum and to photography.
I tried to focus more on his eyes. How did I do?
Any comments/suggestions very much appreciated.
Thanks.

It's a really cute looking pup. If it was posted in the vertical position it would be easier to look at. The capture is over exposed and the background is a little distracting. Try reshooting it with a few adjustments, I think it'd look really good.

I think its a good shot, ok a bit over exposed but with a little pp work it could become so much more without re-shooting.

Hope you dont mind me having a play, if you would like me to remove it please say so. Here i worked in photoshop cs3, i played wit hthe exposure, levels and did a little crop along with sharpened it.

My only suggestion would be to get the dog to sit as you should get a cleaner head shot without its body showing in the background.
