Mule Deer Buck - Jumping Fence

I caught this deer jumping a fence and thought it looked kind of cool. I messed around with it in Picasa and came up with this. It's hard to get close to Mule deer, but we are getting close to the rut and I'm getting exited to find some big ones to photograph. It was getting pretty dark when I took this shot. Notice the high ISO. Sigma 120-400 lens on monopod.

Did you take that out a window, is that what is causing the blur, to me it is very distracting and takes away from your main subject. Other than that great capture. Talk about being at the right place at the right time.

I used a soft focus technique in Picasa to get the blur, my attemp at art. Here is what the original looked like.

Nice action shot of this guy! A lower ISO would be nice but I see your comment on why it was so high. The other thing would be to watch that you don't cut the antlers out of the frame at all, however, that can be a challenge when they are on the move. That is a pretty nice size buck, you should have plenty more opportunities while they are in the rut, maybe you can get some locked antler action shots!
