Default The biggest fish I've ever caught

A few months ago I learned how to tie flies, and tied up a little ripper called The Viva.

A couple of mates took me to their secret location and it wasn't long before a 5lb rainbow trout took a fancy to The Viva. I have long arms, so I took this shot of myself at arms length. Feedback would be great.

Normally, I'd say that hand-held self-portraits are best left for facebook pages, but you've done a great job with this one - there are great colours in the shot and the light on the trout is just perfect.

I bet he made for great eating !

Thanks for the feedback, and yeah it was good eating. I let an even bigger one go a short while later, he'll be there next time!

This is a nice shot with the clarity, sharp focus and the expression. For hand held at arms length you did a very good job. Congrats on the nice fish also.

what a fun shot...if you hold every fish that close to the lens, they'll all look enormous....

Very nice shot for an arms lengh. I like the color of the fish. Much better than anything I've tried to take on the spot like that.
