Are you talking about the highlights on the frog? I don't find them distracting. I would have really increase your ISO to around 200 - 400. What bothers me is camera shake in the image (lack of sharpness on the frog) at 100 mm you need at least 1/100th of a second on a full frame camera to stop any camera shake from effecting the sharpness of the image, on a crop body like your camera it will need to be even faster.
You can of course use a tripod if you don't want to increase your ISO. I'm not sure if you did it here in this image but if you did then it's not as sharp as it could be because the frog is moving slightly so you will still need a faster shutter speed. Nice color and composition. Is this your pet?

This would be a cool pet, but its not. This was taken out in the field and my friend here didn't stick atound very long. So there is no chance of retaking it. i spent 2 hours in the same area and only got about 6 shots. There was a lot of vegitation where the frogs were, and even being very careful, these guys would spook easily.
Hopefully I can get another opportunity to get some more shots before the really cold stuff sets in. It must have been the frog moving, because i was using a tripod. I will adjust the ISO the next time i go to this area and hopfully i will get a couple of better shots. Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it |
