Default Taming the beast

I'm not sure what I did to offend her, but my kelpie - Meeka - hates my camera. If I pull out the camera she skulks away into another room. If the flash is anywhere to be seen, she bolts into the garden.

She must have been tired when I grabbed this shot of her.

Canon EOS 50D | 1/160 | f/2.8 | ISO800
EX580II though brolly | behind camera | ETTL through PW Flex

I'm going through a bit of a phase of 2:1 pano crops for a little project.

Any comment about the crop? (and the lack of nose ) or other comments in general?

Her eyes are stunning! You're immediately drawn right to them in this shot. Personally, I would like to see the shot with her nose in it. I don't think it would distract you from the eyes at all. But since she's so camera shy, take what you can get

She's a truly beautiful dog! Great shot!

Thank you for your comments - I agree that there's nowhere to look but at her eyes.

I just wish she was a more patient model !

If her nose is going to be cropped out, it should be cut out all the way instead of leaving a tiny bit there. That way ALL the attention goes to her eyes!

Thanks for that suggestion Windrider, I've tightened the crop slightly and also took the opportunity to clone out an errant hair on the cushion she was resting on.....

The 'eyes' have it. I like the shot. I agree with windrider86 about the crop suggestion.
