Should I leave this color or change it to black and white?

That is an awesome shot in my opinion.

The bird captured in mid flap is way amazing.

You were either really lucky or took a lot of pictures.

If you could lighten up his head somehow it would be better.

Try it in black and white and see what you get.



I adjusted the highlights and contrast using Picasa.

The colors were already there .

Mask the bird to isolate it from the background, then use the levels adjustment to get the exposure right. You can also use the color balance adjustment along with adding some vibrance.

I love this place - I learn so much! Great tip about masking - I'm still getting familiar with Photoshop and every little tip like that helps immensely.

Love the photo, btw. I'm one of the few people who actually likes pigeons, and they're incredible in flight.
