Nice shot, but the bird is underexposed. If you shot this in RAW, you could make a tiff file exposed for the bird, and then combine it with the original exposed for the background.


This is about the best i can do with a jpg, without ruining it. Gives you an idea anyway.

It seemed quite out of focus in the colored one but the black and white looks quite amazing...great work ..

if u want the head to stand out more u could isolate the bird in one layer and then usind either the original background or a duplicate u could add some blur to simulate a smaller DOF, obviously dont take it too far but a little can make a huge difference, i normally use gauession blur (however u spell it) for this effect but i only have elements so there might be something better in full CS whatever version u have (assuming u have it that is). Also start shooting in RAW it really can do wonders when it comes to taking a decent picture to a fantastic one, and using photoshop im pretty sure u can just do like a quick conversion to a jpeg if u need it.
