Default My parrot

Wanted to get a "natural light" picture of my Senegal Parrot. Do you think that the DOF is too shallow? Taken with my 50mm lens at f1.8

Tinker Bird

thanks for suggestions/comments. Anybody else have good luck getting shots of their parrot? Any tips?

I think your DoF may be a bit too shallow... the feathers in the foreground and the back of head in the background appear a bit out of focus (obviously hard to get moving birds). I like the overall effect of just the parrot in focus, but I think you went just a bit shallow for it - getting the parrot fully focused and detail on the wings would pop this pic

Thanks! I will have another photo shoot with him ( no problem, he likes to pose) and try different settings.
