Black Swan

Not a bad shot. The image quality is not bad. The lighting seems pretty flat like it was taken around noon or so. As far as the composition I would say crop in closer to the swan, having him dead center is not very interesting. I would crop off maybe half the left side and over half the foreground, and some of the top. In the future you would want to give more room on the right side for him to fly off into. Hope that helps and makes sense.

thanks for the feedback - he's in the centre because my camera only has 3 focus areas and only the centre one can be used for AI servo mode

Was taken about 2pm on a very bright clear day

Im a bit worried about cropping that much, as if I was to print, I dont have alot of pixels left - this is a 6.3MP image.... Anyone have some practical advice on how low DPI you can go, and not really loose resolution. Ive been told dont go below 200dpi.... but it seems a bit arbitary?
