Horse and bridle

I took this picture after riding and wonder if the lighting is okay...I see that her neck and chest look darker and I wonder if there's anything I could do about it...also my foot and part of the stirrup are showing under her chin and I wonder if that's a big distraction? Any tips would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

To me, the lighting is good. And the darker areas of the neck and chest aren't too dark, give the shot depth, and draw attention to the eyes and face.

As for the foot and stirrup, since they're out of focus, I don't think they are distractions.

Can I ask why you went B&W with this? If you still have the color version, I'd be curious to see it.

This is the image in color...I changed it because she broke her reins so all I have are these black nylon ones and they don't really go with the bridle so I thought it kind of threw it off a bit...

Nice horse, the color version looks better as the colors are sharp and the contrast is lovely.
